About

Nora Schuchat creates work with hand-embroidery and watercolor painting to explore time, place, memory, and interpersonal relationships. Drawing from the external landscape and architecture, and her internal world, Schuchat’s meditative processes focus on color, texture and light as a means to understand her experiences. Influenced by Georgia O’Keeffe, Eva Hesse, Agnes Martin and Anni Albers, Nora’s work encompasses abstract and representational imagery. She graduated with a BA in Art History and Spanish from Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH and received her MA in Spanish from Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT. She has exhibited ArtLink Gallery in Fort Wayne, IN and Pittsburgh, PA, and has been featured in Koel Magazine. Nora lives in Denver, CO with her family.
